POLL

There's a new poll in the sidebar. Please vote on it.

The administrators of this blog are having some difficulties, that make it hard to continue this blog, and maybe more important we are kind of burned out. Contrary to our expectations when we started reading it, the Koran is boring, repetitive, and very very NEGATIVE, which is exactly the opposite of lolkittehs. Translating it has become a constant struggle. Maybe we should give it up and leave it to other people who are more favorably disposed to the book. Maybe ... I dunno, what?

  1. YES, moar cute ktnz!

In case you're wondering how I found you, it was on CEMB. I wrote this:

"My question is this: What would happen if someone came out with an LOLCat Quraan? Would there be an out-cry? What would an LOL Quraan sound like? Would any Muslims admit it is kind of funny?"

Then somebody pointed me to your site. :)

  3. I say continue, you are doing a great job, and more to the point it will save me doing it when I finish ripping the bible.I am surprised tho' your poll didn't have a YES its blasphemy option. I know what you mean tho'I have got real pissed off at times reading through some of the chapters in the books of Moses but I now done four the end is in sight. So purely for selfish reasons..ie. your continuance encourages me, and that makes the baby jesus cry which makes me laugh, ok.

  6. You are doing a great, great job!!!

Do not stop, difficult as it is, see it through!!! What you are doing is important and matters.

'Contrary to our expectations when we started reading it, the Koran is boring, repetitive, and very very NEGATIVE, which is exactly the opposite of lolkittehs.'

All the more reason to finish AND do not hesitate to translate it as you see it and describe it!

That is the purpose of translation - to connect with and reveal in the language you are translating into its key messages, the feel, the feline of the work...
